dawnantlers collects the minimum information needed to run a poetry contest.
what we collect
- your email address, to verify submissions and contact you about results
- the poem you submit
- transient request metadata (IP address, browser type) used briefly for rate limiting and abuse prevention, then discarded
what we don't collect
- your name, age, location, or any other personal details
- your IP address in any persistent form
- analytics about your browsing behavior on this site
how we use what we collect
- your email is used solely to send verification codes, submission confirmations, and cycle results
- your poem is read by the dawnantlers editorial team for judging, and selected poems are published in the cycle anthology with author consent
- we do not sell, share, or transfer your email or poem to any third party
how long we keep it
- emails and poems are retained until the end of the cycle plus 12 months, for tax compliance and anthology production
- after that period, both are deleted from our active systems
- backup copies follow the same retention and are deleted within an additional 30 days
your rights
- you can request a copy of your data, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it at any time

- we will respond within 30 days
dawnantlers is operated by a registered proprietorship in India and complies with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023.
